Tech Workshop: Tech Help Desk this month with SmartPhone Medical ID

  • Tuckahoe Clubhouse (map)

In addition to our usual Help Desk team of volunteers being available to address your specific technology challenges, we will again offer a group exercise that will involve putting your pertinent medical information into your smartphone. Join us this coming Thursday afternoon (August 24th) at Tuckahoe Clubhouse.

Register using the form below.

In his wide-ranging presentation last week at the Here to Stay in Wintergreen coffee Wintergreen Fire and Rescue's Jeremy Wampler confirmed our first responders know about and use the "Medical ID" feature on smartphones. In our group session starting at 3:30pm, we will walk everyone through the steps to deploy this feature so our emergency medical personnel can more easily know about your health status when you aren't able to communicate that information in a time of need.

We will be hosting our usual “Tech Help Desk” for members and volunteers starting at 3 pm who simply need some help with their smartphones, tablets, smart watches, etc. We will make every effort to answer your questions or solve your issues.

NOTE: Our Medical ID group session will start at 3:30 pm.

So whether you are looking for help with a smart phone, smart watch, or laptop, please register your request below. If you are coming to learn how to add your pertinent medical information to your smart phone, please complete the registration below, as well, but do not arrive until 3:30pm.

Thank you and we’ll see you on Thursday, August 24th.
