They call it "superior senior living" and "upscale retirement." The technical name for it is Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). Come find out if it is something you might consider at this meeting next Wednesday, May 17th at 10 am.

HSW is opening this program to the entire community; there is no charge but RSVPs are needed. Bring your questions to a panel discussion, led by HSW board member Gordon Walker, with representatives from two long-established CCRCs in our area:

• Westminster Canterbury in Charlottesville calls itself "five-star" and "luxurious." Diedra Jane Massie will provide the details about their operation. 

• Summit Square Retirement Community in Waynesboro says it is a "close-knit community where everyone is like extended family." Shelly Zollner will outline their offerings.

Come to the HSW May Coffee and Camaraderie and discuss with your neighbors the pros and cons of CCRCs at this meeting at Tuckahoe Clubhouse.
