The volunteers who are working one-on-one with our members are responsible for the success of Here to Stay in Wintergreen

Neighbors helping neighbors is nothing new at Wintergreen. Here to Stay in Wintergreen brings a new focus by creating more ways for neighbors to help neighbors. We are making neighbors helping neighbors easier, safer, fun, and efficient.

Volunteers with expertise in administration, communications, accounting, education, finance, fundraising, organizing, marketing, and almost any other business skill are needed and appreciated at Here to Stay in Wintergreen. Email us at volunteer@HereToStayWTG.org to learn more about sharing your talents.

Volunteers are invited to take part in HSW’s social, educational, and wellness presentations offered to the members. Volunteers also are given access to most member events and resources.

But the major benefit of volunteering with Here to Stay in Wintergreen comes from greatly enriching the lives of your neighbors in Stoney Creek and on the mountain, plus knowing you are helping build a support system that you–or someone you care about in Wintergreen–might one day need.

The four steps to joining the HSW team
offering one-on-one services to our neighbors

  1. Look over the current HSW volunteer projects for member assistance projects you might enjoy participating in. If you know of an unmet need where you could assist, let us know. Then,…

  2. Fill out our initial volunteer interest form which will tell you more about our process and get all of the obvious questions out of the way. You’re not making a commitment at this point.

  3. An HSW volunteer coordinator (who is also a volunteer) will contact you to provide more details about the projects that interest you, explain how assignments are managed, and–most importantly–answer your questions.

  4. If you’re good to go, you’ll be provided the additional volunteer forms and disclosures required by our insurance, etc.

  5. With all of the formal paperwork in place, you are set. Thank you!
