Those receiving long-term care services, whether in a nursing home, assisted living, memory care, or via home-based care have rights that deserve to be respected. Virginia’s State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program provides advocates to voice resident and patient concerns, problem-solve, and advocate on their behalf. This area’s ombudsman can be contacted through JABA and facilitate solutions between care teams, families, and patients.
